PREHISTORIC Power-Ups Guide: Keys 1–5 and How They Differ from Tools

Press 1–5 to activate power-ups in PREHISTORIC. Here's how the numbered power-up keys work and how they differ from the flashlight, flare and weapon controls.

Quick answer

Press the number keys 1 through 5 to activate power-ups in PREHISTORIC. Each key fires whatever occupies the matching numbered power-up slot, and power-ups are their own control category, separate from the flashlight (F), the flare (R) and weapons (G / H, then click to use).

  • Power-ups: keys 1 to 5 — one key per numbered slot.
  • Ordinary tools live on other keys: Flashlight F, Flare R, Weapons G / H with a click to use.
  • The documented lobby options are your night, difficulty and Friends Only; no power-up loadout step appears among them.

Power-ups fire on the number keys 1 to 5

PREHISTORIC gives power-ups five numbered slots, and the official controls bind them straight to the number row: pressing 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 activates whatever occupies the matching numbered slot. So when you want a power-up rather than a tool, your fingers go to 1–5, not to the tool keys.

How power-ups differ from ordinary tools

In the official controls list, power-ups appear as their own entry — Power-ups, keys 1 to 5 — while the flashlight, the flare and the weapons are each listed separately. The game treats power-ups as a system of their own rather than another ordinary tool, and the two never share keys:

ControlsKeysRole
Power-ups1 to 5Their own power-up system
FlashlightFOrdinary tool
FlareROrdinary tool
WeaponsG / H, click to useOrdinary tool

For the everyday gear, each tool has one key, and weapons add an extra step: G or H calls them up and a click uses them. Power-ups instead occupy five slots at once, keyed 1 through 5, so a single press fires the slot you want. That split matters in the moment: reaching for F, R, G or H works your ordinary tools, while the number row is where the power-up controls live.

What the lobby documents before a night

The lobby options the official page documents are three: choose your night, set the difficulty, and turn on Friends Only. A power-up selection or loadout step is not among them. That does not rule out power-ups appearing or being configured elsewhere — the documented lobby list simply has no power-up setup screen, so it is not where your 1–5 slots are managed. For those lobby choices in detail, see the PREHISTORIC lobby settings guide.

The free revive is a subscription perk, not a power-up

One extra on the official page is easy to mistake for a power-up: under Roblox Plus Benefits, subscribers get 1 free revive every night. That is a platform perk, listed separately from the power-up controls — it is not one of the five numbered slots and does not come from pressing 1–5. Keep it in a different bucket from your power-up keys; the PREHISTORIC revive guide covers the revive side.
